WHAT IS MWANZA EXPOSHOP 2022?
WHAT IS THE AIM OF MWANZA EXPOSHOP 2022?
One of the major gaps outlined during the FBGA 2022 Conference panel discussions was that a major gap exists between industry and academia as far as direct physical and virtual interactions are concerned. The main aim is to provide a platform that allows for both sub subsystems to learn from each other and share improved learnings on how to better the production of a critical thinker-change agent graduate. Such interactions once made frequent and intentional have the capacity to improve what is trained in the institutions of learning and what is needed at industry level.
The resolution of the conference therefore was to ensure that such events occurred more frequently regionally. It was also recommended that best-practices are brought to the fore, especially those that have culminated as a collaboration between solving an underlying industry need and university evidence-based research that was undertaken to make a resolve. Therefore, Mwanza Exposhop provides an opportunity for stakeholders to meet, learn, exchange ideas, promote new innovations in teaching and delivery of theory to practice with capacity to improve the skill of graduates being released to the industry. The Exposhop is also geared towards concretizing solid ad functional industry-academia linkages that work in synergy to improve the employability of the graduates at industry level, whether formal, informal or through self-employment. The Exposhop also serves as a regional platform of networking for all stakeholders in attendance.
ATTENDEES OF THE MWANZA EXPOSHOP 2022
The Industry-Meets-Academia Mwanza Exposhop 2022 brings together over 2000 delegates from East, Central and West Africa being academicians, researchers, trainers of trainers, scholars, policy makers, environmentalists and conservationists, animal welfare enthusiasts, supply chain experts, climate change influencers, students, economists, agronomists, teachers, farmers and diverse industry practitioners to exchange ideas, network and learn from one another.
MWANZA EXPOSHOP 2022 WEEK’S PROGRAM

Side events will take place during the Exposhop that will be discussing the transformational agenda workplan as collated for the period between July and December 2022 towards preparing for an intense roll out of the Q-SIAP pilot initiative. Day two and three of the Exposhop is characterized by both virtual and in-person discussions in a workshop set to re-engineering cross regional industry-academia linkages towards accelerated job creation for youth in East, Central and West Africa. The theme of the Exposhop is “Accelerating Industry-Academia Partnerships Towards Day-1 Competent Working Graduate in Africa”
